Join us for a Timi's Tours classic! A massive hit in years past, join us in 2026 for all the fun that's in store.

 

August 5-15, 2026

 

We will lodge at lovely hotels in Junction City, Kansas, Farmington, New Mexico, and the following towns in Colorado: Colorado Springs, Alamosa, Durango, Grand Junction, and Denver!

 

Day 1: We depart for an amazing trip and spend the evening in Junction City, Kansas.

 

Days 2 & 3: Arrive in Colorado Springs and stay the night at the Drury Inn. Then we travel to Canon City where we board the Royal Gorge RR for a 2.5 hour ride, and enjoy an included lunch on board! Afterwards, we'll check into our hotel in Alamosa, Colorado.

 

Day 4: Travel through narrow mountain passes and rugged territory to Antonito where we board the 1880's Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad, a National Historic Landmark. At 64-miles in length, it is the longest, highest, and most authentic steam railroad in North America. After riding through some of the most spectacular scenery in the Rocky Mountains, we will travel to our hotel in Farmington, New Mexico.

 

Day 5 & 6: We stop at the Four Corners Monument where Utah, New Mexico, Colorado, and Arizona meet as we journey to Durango, Colorado. On day 6 we’ll visit Mesa Verde National Park, accompanied by a local guide.

 

Day 7: Today we travel on the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad Train for a 45 mile, 3.5 hour ride. Then, in Silverton we'll board our motorcoach and drive the "Million Dollar Highway" en route to Gunnison where we will rest for the evening. 

 

Day 8: Today we will board our final train, The Georgetown loop for a peaceful 1 hour and 15 min ride before spending our evening in Denver.

 

Days 9 & 10: Our final night will be spent in Junction City, KS, where we will enjoy the evening as we reflect on all of our great memories spent on the glorious Trains of Colorado!

*Please Note:

This trip includes several vintage train rides that are powered by steam, coal, and.or diesel fuel. As such, soot and ash are produced. Additionally, this trip includes areas of extreme elevation that can reach above 10,000 ft. Those with respiratory issues or other health issues should consider these factors before booking. Customers are encouraged to bring eye protection such as sunglasses, safety glasses, etc. and any other protective equipment they might choose to utilize.
