Mississippi River Cruise at the Arch
Join us for a fun day in St. Louis as we "See Everything!"
You'll enjoy a tram ride to the top of the Gateway Arch, the "Gateway to the West." This iconic monument symbolizes St. Louis's historic role in the westward expansion of the United States, commemorating Thomas Jefferson's vision for a unified continental nation and the city's 19th-century importance as a hub for trade and migration.
While at the Gateway Arch Visitor Center, you can watch "Monument to the Dream" at the Tucker Theater, a documentary detailing the engineering and construction of the arch. Additionally, "The Gateway Arch: A Reflection of America" provides broader historical context, including St. Louis's role in westward expansion.
For another perspective, we will enjoy the one-hour St. Louis Riverfront Cruise led by an NPS ranger. Located at the Riverboats at the Gateway Arch, directly below the Arch on the St. Louis Riverfront, this cruise highlights the history of St. Louis and the contemporary role of the Mississippi River. A box lunch is included with your trip!
