Jewels of the South: Savannah and Charleston

Jewels of the South: Savannah, Charleston and Tybee Island

April 10-17, 2026

Join us for another tour to Savannah, Charleston and Tybee Island, the experience we like to call Jewels of the South.

Our first evening will be spent in Knoxville, Tennessee followed by days 2 and 3 in the Historic District of Charleston. While there we will enjoy a step on guided tour of the City renowned for its antebellum architecture, charming cobblestone streets, and rich history. Known for its vibrant cultural scene it features landmarks like Rainbow Row and the Battery.

The following day we journey to Savannah for a three night stay in the Historic District. Before we arrive we will visit the  Charleston Tea Garden.  The Garden's American Classic Tea is a unique tea made entirely from US-grown tea leaves, cultivated on Wadmalaw Island near Charleston, South Carolina. While in Savannah we will enjoy a Trolley tour of the historic district, a step on guide to the Moon River District and a program at Wormsloe State HIstoric Site with a Park Ranger. Dinner at Paula Deen's, Lady & Sons is included as well.

Get ready for another exciting day as we visit Tybee Island. You'll have beach and shopping time, enjoy a picnic lunch, tour the Tybee Island Lighthouse and Museum, and Captain Derek's Dolphin Tour. After leaving the Island you will chose from one of these: Savannah Bee Company Garden Tour or a tour of Bonaventure Cemetery.

Savannah is known for several famous streets. Jones Street is often called "The Prettiest Street in Savannah" and is characterized by its historic architecture, brick-paved streets, and massive oak trees draped in Spanish moss. River Street is a popular waterfront destination with shops, restaurants, and galleries, located on the Savannah River.  Broughton Street is a vibrant commercial street in downtown Savannah, known for its variety of shops, restaurants, and overall lively atmosphere.

Our last evening will be spent in the Nashville area. The group will be downtown for the evening to enjoy the live music venues and vibrant atmosphere that Music City offers.
