Day 1: Our Journey Begins
We’ll depart our scheduled pick-up locations before flying out of Chicago.

Day 2: Welcome to Glasgow!
Let the fun begin! Upon arrival, you’ll enjoy some free time to settle in before a 6pm dinner at our hotel where we’ll meet our Tour Director.

Day 3: Sculpted Horses & Scottish Heroines
(Glasgow – Falkirk – Royal Burgh of Culross – Linlithgow – Edinburgh)
FALKIRK- See The Kelpies, the largest equine sculptures in the world.
ROYAL BURGH OF CULROSS- Take a walking tour with a Local Guide.
LINLITHGOW- See Linlithgow Palace ruins, the birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots, and a filming location for the Outlander TV series.
EDINBURGH- Enjoy free time in this gorgeous, architecturally rich city

Day 4: Traditions & Treasures of Edinburgh
We’ll enjoy a walking tour of Edinburg with a Local Guide that includes Royal Mile, a visit to St. Giles' Cathedral, and Edinburgh Castle to see Scotland's Crown Jewels.

Day 5: Regal Manors & Royal Music
(Edinburgh – Excursion to Abbotsford)

Today we’ll journey to Abbotsford and take a guided tour of Sir Walter Scott’s Abbotsford House. He was the best-selling author of his time, and this gorgeous estate features stunning Scots Baronial architecture at it’s finest.

Day 6: Scottish Drams & Scenic Drives
(Edinburgh – St. Andrews – Pitlochry – Inverness)

Day 6 will find us in St. Andrews, a famous university town that is the home of golf, before then driving across the Firth of Tay via Dundee to Pitlochry. Located in the heart of Scotland, there we’ll walk through the Victorian mountain resort and visit a whisky distillery. Then, we’ll enjoy a scenic drive through the Grampian Mountains and Cairngorms National Park en route to Inverness.

Day 7: The Bronze Age & Brave
(Inverness – Highlands Excursion)

Now it’s time to explore the world-famous Scottish Highlands, where we’ll visit the Bronze-Age chamber tomb site of Clava Cairns, see the Culloden battlefield site and visitor center, and explore Cawdor Castle, before returning to Inverness, where you’ll have some free time for the remainder of the day.

Day 8: Gardens & Grandeur
(Inverness  – Sutherland County – Thurso)

We will visit the stately home & gardens of Dunrobin Castle located in Sutherland County. A ‘jewel in the crown of the Highlands’, the castle is the most northernly of Scotland’s great houses and the largest in the Northern Highlands with 189 rooms! DUNROBIN Visit the castle and gardens. Then we’ll head to Thurso for some free time in the afternoon. There’s plenty to see and do in this delightful town of lovely traditional shops, cafes, bars, and restaurants.

Day 9: Breathtaking View & Brews
(Thurso  – Excursion to the Orkney Islands)

Today, we’ll take the John O’Groats Ferry crossing to the Orkney Islands. Once there, sightseeing includes the four Churchill Barriers, Scapa Flow, Skara Brae, the Ring of Brodgar, and Kirkwall. We’ll also enjoy a guided tour of The Orkney Brewery with a light lunch at the brewery's Tasting Hall cafe and visit Skaill House before returning to the mainland by ferry in the late afternoon.

Day 10: Scottish Fish Stories
(Thurso – Ullapool)

On Day 10, we’ll visit the picturesque fishing town of Ullapool, nestled on the shores of Lochbroom. After seeing the fishing port we’ll enjoy a traditional lunch of fish & chips at a local restaurant.
 
Day 11: Sea & Skye: Isle of Skye
Drive across the Inner Hebridean island; visit the Museum of Island Life; stop in the picturesque island capital of Portree and take in the views of the Cuillin Hills.

Day 12: Brave Lads & Bonnie Lands
(Isle of Skye – Glenfinnan – Fort William – Oban)

Visit Museum of the Isles. Ferry crossing on the Sound of Sleat to mainland. In Glenfinnan, see the monument to fallen Jacobite clansmen and the famous Glennfinnan Viaduct. In Fort William, see the gateway to Ben Nevis, the UK's highest peak, and then take a scenic drive via Glen Coe en route to Oban.

Day 13: Highland Isles & Miles
(Oban – Excursion to Isles of Mull and Iona)

From Oban, we’ll take the ferry crossing to the Isle of Mull for a scenic drive across the island. Then we’ll ferry to the Isle of Iona and visit the center of Celtic Christianity before returning to mainland.

Day 14: Glasgow Sights & Grand Heights
(Oban  – Inveraray  – Glasgow)

In Inveraray, we’ll take a scenic drive over the mountainous Pass of Brander before stopping for photos in Loch Lomond. Then, we’ll head back to Glasgow for a drive among landmarks, including the 12th-century Glasgow Cathedral, university buildings, and Georgian squares. Enjoy your final evening in Scotland with some free time to spend as you wish.

Day 15: Depart Glasgow and Journey Home

After breakfast, we’ll depart Glasgow and fly home, rich with the memories of our time exploring the majesty of glorious Scotland!
