All Aboard the Rocky Mountaineer!

Our Rockies to the Red Rocks route winds past ancient rock canyons, through mountain ranges, and alongside rivers as it travels between the red rock formations of Moab and the mile-high city of Denver. We’ll be traveling on the SilverLeaf Plus service level which gives you everything you need and more to experience the majesty of the Rocky Mountains in luxury: panoramic views, delicious meals and  beverages brought right to your seat, friendly hosts and complimentary baggage transfers and miles and miles of memories. Your trip includes two days aboard the Rocky Mountaineer!

We’ll spend our first evening in Topeka, Kansas before heading to Denver, Colorado for the second night. Then on Day 3, it’s time to board the Rocky Mountaineer! Journey through two days of extraordinary landscapes between Denver and Moab, Utah. Vast canyons, inspiring deserts, natural archways and enchanting hoodoos are just a start, as this Rocky Mountaineer rail route is filled with highlights best seen by train, including Ruby Canyon, Mount Garfield and crossing the Continental Divide. After the first day on the train, we’ll spend the evening in Glenwood Springs, CO, and after the second day, we’ll disembark in Moab, Utah, our home for the next three evenings.

On Day 5, we’ll tour Capitol Reef National Park. Located in south-central Utah in the heart of red rock country, this park is a hidden treasure filled with cliffs, canyons, domes, and bridges in the Waterpocket Fold, a geologic monocline (a wrinkle on the earth) extending almost 100 miles.

The following day will find us visiting two of the most beautiful parks in the world: Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park. Arches ‘offers a landscape of contrasting colors, land forms, and textures unlike any other in the world. The park has over 2,000 natural stone arches and hundreds of soaring pinnacles, massive rock fins, and giant balanced rocks’ while Canyonlands ‘invites you to explore a wilderness of countless canyons and fantastically formed buttes carved by the Colorado River and its tributaries’. It will be a stunning day in nature that you’ll never forget!

On Day 7, we’ll begin our journey home, spending the evening in Denver, and the following night (Day 8) in Topeka, before arriving back home on Day 9 full of great memories of our amazing adventure from The Rockies to The Red Rocks!

This trip includes 11 meals (8 breakfasts, 2 lunches, and 1 dinner)
