The capital’s diversity and its virtually inexhaustible possibilities excite visitors from around the world! Afterwards, we will cruise south-west to Potsdam, the capital of the federal state of Brandenburg. While there, we’ll visit the luxurious gardens of Sanssouci Palace, once home to Frederick the Great.
Day 5: THE HISTORIC ROMAN EMPIRE (MAGDEBURG)
Our ship will begin to cruise early in the morning for Burg, eventually arriving in Magdeburg. There, we will tour the historic, 1,200-year-old city situated midway on the Elbe River. Its cathedral, the Cathedral of Saints Maurice and Catherine, boasts one of the most stunning Gothic-style edifices in all of Europe. After the tour, you’ll have some free time in the evening to explore the city on your own.
Day 6: AUTOSTADT AUTOMOTIVE THEME PARK & MUSEUM
We'll begin to cruise early this morning for Carlvoerde before visiting the Autostadt. Situated on 28 hectares of parkland, this automotive theme park and museum is a sight to behold. While we’re there, our boat will sail to Wolfsburg, where we’ll reboard later in the afternoon before cruising to Anderten.
Day 7: HANOVER IN LOWER SAXONY
We’ll arrive early in the morning at the capital of Lower Saxony, Hanover, for a tour of the town, which is one of the main economic centers in Germany. While on our excursion, our boat will journey to Minden. We’ll rejoin the ship there and cruise to Neinburg for the rest of the day.
Day 8: NIENBURG, THE "RED TOWN"

Day 9: MARITIME BREMEN & HISTORIC OLDENBURG
Join us for a walking tour of Bremen, one of the largest trading ports and oldest maritime cities in Germany. Narrow streets, statues, and half-timbered houses accessorize the town that’s historically known for both the coffee and cotton trades. Next, we will cruise to Oldenburg. Originally founded as an ancient castle fortress, you’ll have some time to stroll around before we reboard our vessel and spend the evening cruising towards Dörpen.
Day 10: THE MEYER WERFT SHIPYARD IN PAPENBURG
We'll begin to cruise early in the morning towards Papenburg where we will tour the Meyer Werft shipyard, one of the largest and most modern shipyards in the world, and learn about how these majestically large vessels are built and distributed. Then, we’ll return to the MS Victor Hugo and journey towards Groningen.
Day 11: CRUISING OUR WAY TO THE GALA
Today we will spend all day on the river as we cruise towards Amsterdam. Tonight is extra special as it is our gala evening, a long-practiced tradition in the world of cruising. It’s an opportunity to dress up, although no formal dress code is enforced. The crew present in their dress uniforms and the chef serves a banquet that pays special tribute to French gastronomy. After dinner, we will dance the night away in the lounge bar.
Day 12: “WELKOM” TO AMSTERDAM
