Arizona Winter Escape
March 2nd-9th, 2024
Join Timi’s Tours for an escape out west to the great state of Arizona! We will spend our first evening in St. Louis before departing the following morning for Phoenix. From there, we will enjoy accommodations for two evenings at the Doubletree by Hilton in Tucson and four evenings at the Drury Inn & Suites in Chandler.
Highlights of Your Trip Include:
Sedona- Prepare for adventure on your Pink Jeep Tour through stunning areas of natural beauty and Red Rock formations! Since 1960, the company has been delighting passengers by providing an off-roading experience like no other. We will also discover Downtown Sedona, world-renowned for its thriving arts culture and unique charm.
Tombstone- Welcome to the Wild West! We’ll spend a day in “The Town Too Tough to Die”, full of historic saloons, attractions, and unique shops. While here, we’ll also visit the original O.K. Corral and see Wyatt Earp, Doc Holliday, and others take on the McLaurys and the Clantons in an epic reenactment of the ultimate Old West showdown.
Scottsdale- With 330 days of sunshine each year, Scottsdale is a shining destination in the desert! Old Town Scottsdale is the energetic heart of the city, where you will have some free time to explore their nine walkable districts that are filled with art galleries, shops, restaurants, and museums. The area also features 45+ public art installations and historic sites from the late 1880s. Later, we will dine together in the art district at the Old Town Tortilla Factory for a delectable southwestern dining experience. Featuring a 1930s adobe style, the ambience of the restaurant is rivaled only by its culinary offerings.
Apache Junction- So much fun awaits us in Apache Junction! We’ll go underground at the Goldfield Mine for a tour back in time to 100 years ago, accompanied by a guide with historical knowledge of the mine, how it operates, and its equipment. All aboard! The Superstition Narrow Gauge Railroad will take us on a narrated journey around a mile-and-a-half track that circles town.
Apache Junction will also find us at Barlee’s Dinner show for great food and entertainment. Finally, no trip to the area would be complete without a scenic lunchtime cruise on Canyon Lake via the Dolly Steamboat! Keep your eyes peeled, as you might see desert bighorn sheep, bald eagles, or other local wildlife.
