Pricing & Payment Plan

Day 1: CHICAGO
Your journey begins with a motorcoach transfer to Chicago where you will overnight near the Chicago O’Hare International Airport in preparation for your flight to Alaska tomorrow.

Day 2: ANCHORAGE
Catch your flight today to Anchorage. Upon arrival, you will be greeted at the airport by a John Hall’s Alaska representative and transferred to The Lakefront, your hotel this evening. Dinner can be enjoyed at your leisure in the hotel and is included today.

Day 3: ANCHORAGE ADVENTURE DAY
Today you may choose to spend your day in one of four ways: take a Knik and Colony Glacier flightseeing trip, enjoy a brewery tour to several local breweries, take a photo safari trip around the Anchorage and Turnagain Arm capturing iconic winter scenes by camera, or get adventurous with downhill skiing at the Alyeska Resort in Girdwood. Late this afternoon, speak with Iditarod participants before the evening concludes with the Iditarod Musher’s Banquet. This is a great chance to meet the mushers! All meals are included today.

Day 4: MUSK OX FARM & MIKE SANTOS Q & A
Begin with a tour of the Palmer Musk Ox farm to witness these prehistoric animals and learn about Alaska’s ongoing domestication project. Follow this with some time at Alaska’s Iditarod Headquarters. Return to Anchorage for a private cocktail reception where musher Mike Santos will conduct a question and answer session on preparing for the Iditarod race. All meals are included today.

Day 5: CEREMONIAL START & TALKEETNA
Attend the ceremonial start of the Iditarod in downtown Anchorage where you are free to walk among the teams and find your favorite musher! You have plenty of time to view the dog teams before the 10:00 am ceremonial start. Afterwards, journey to Talkeetna, your home for the next two evenings. Tonight, enjoy a presentation by Mr. Frank Stelges. Frank is a professional photographer of the aurora and he will share his tips on how to properly set up your camera to be able to capture the northern lights. All meals are included today.

Day 6: IDITAROD RESTART & TALKEETNA
Enjoy breakfast before traveling to Willow to witness the official start of the Iditarod. Return to Talkeetna for free time in the town before partaking in a delicious dinner at the Denali Brewing Company. All meals are included today.

Day 7: FAIRBANKS & AURORA POINTE
It’s brunch at the historic Talkeetna Roadhouse before heading north to Fairbanks. Enjoy lunch en route to Fairbanks and Sophie’s Station, your home for the evening. After dinner at the hotel, you have the choice of going to Aurora Pointe for some northern lights viewing, hot chocolate and great company. All meals are included today.

Day 8: BOREALIS BASECAMP
Board your luxury coach and ride out to Trail Breaker Kennels for dog mushing rides and one-on-one time with the mushers themselves. Next, you will head to Borealis Basecamp, a destination perfect for enjoying the best of Alaska’s winter fun. View the Aurora Borealis with your group from the comfort of a climate-controlled yurt, or in privacy from your domed room outfitted with comfortable, modern amenities. All meals are included today.

Day 9: BOREALIS BASECAMP ADVENTURE DAY
After a late night of Aurora viewing, you will have the ability to sleep in and enjoy breakfast at your leisure. Today will be spent enjoying one of several activities available to you at Borealis Basecamp. Launch into miles of wilderness via dogsled or snow machine, or take a refreshing snowshoe hike through the quiet forest with no sound except for the wind in the treetops. Your evening will be filled with the colorful skies of the northern lights as you again have the chance to capture these sights on your camera. All meals are included today.


Day 10: FLY HOME
After breakfast, transfer to the Fairbanks airport to board your flights bound for home. From Fairbanks you will fly back to Chicago where your motorcoach will return the group to designated pickup points. Breakfast is included today.

DEPOSITS
To confirm your reservation please send a deposit of $2595.00 per person to Timi’s Tours, 230 S Main Street, Moweaqua, IL 62550.

Personal checks, MasterCard, Visa, American Express or Discover are acceptable forms of payment.

ADDITIONAL TOUR PAYMENTS & FINAL PAYMENTS
For double occupancy bookings, after the initial deposit of $2595 pp, $2500 pp is due by 8/1/20;

and final payments of $2500 pp are due by 11/1/20.

For single occupancy bookings, after the initial deposit of $2595 pp, $3050 pp is due by 8/1/20;

and final payments of $3050 pp are due by 11/1/20.

If payment is not received on time, space may be released; re-booking will be subject to availability.

INSURANCE
We offer and highly recommend Travel Guard insurance to cover trip cancellation and interruption,

medical emergency services, baggage loss or delay or medical assistance. Please contact us for an insurance quote.

Insurance purchased within 15 days of initial payment covers preexisting conditions as well.

CANCELLATIONS
If a cancellation is made in writing at least 120 days prior to departure, a full refund will be made. In the event

of interruption or cancellation of your tour after its commencement, there will be no refunds. We recommend trip insurance for this reason.

TOUR DOCUMENTS
Tour documents, including detailed itinerary, hotel lists, luggage tags, and jackets will be distributed prior to departure.

Final documents may be delayed if final payment is not received on time. 

ITINERARY REVISIONS
Timi’s Tours reserves the right to revise the services included in the itinerary such as hotel accommodations and attractions. In cases of substitution, a comparable quality service will be used. Triple rooms, when available, may contain either two beds and a roll-away, or two double beds.

RESTROOM BREAKS & SMOKING POLICY
In consideration of all tour members, a no-smoking policy will be enforced on the motorcoach. Frequent stops will be made every

two to three hours to accommodate travelers. A bathroom is available on board the motorcoach as well.

CELL PHONES
Cell phone coverage is available in most Alaska cities. As a courtesy to other passengers, please refrain from

cell phone usage while on board the motorcoach.

LUGGAGE HANDLING
We will deliver and pick up one suitcase per person from your room throughout the entire land portion of your tour.

SPECIAL NEEDS
In order for us to provide the best service possible, please inform our staff of any mobility or medical issues at the time of booking.

CLOTHING
Your land tour is 100% casual. Please pack the following items: a winter hat and gloves; thermal base layers; sunglasses, cap & sunscreen;

layers for various weather conditions and indoor use; face mask and/or balaclava; lip balm with SPF; ice cleats- suggested brands include Stabilicers, Yaktrax, ICETrekkers, and Kahtoola; winter boots rated -40°F - 0°F. Many guests enjoy having a small pair of binoculars along during their tour.

CAMERAS AND VALUABLES
By all means bring a camera, and be sure it is within your reach. You’ll see plenty of great scenes to snap. Keep your camera and other valuables in your carry on and bring them on board your motorcoach. Bring an extra set of batteries for your camera and a tri-pod.

TIPPING/GRATUITIES
All gratuities have been included in the price of your package including $90pp for your John Hall’s Alaska Tour Manager

and $30pp for your Timi’s Tours tour director.
